Once & Again Consignment Gallery opened its doors in the fall of 2001. Soon to begin its 25th year of business, Once & Again has occupied 4 locations in the Durham community. Every day, we are motivated to be mindful of our mission, which is renewing and repurposing quality furniture, accessories, and clothing through consignment. Our eco-friendly ideal extends to everything we sell, we see ourselves as conservationists who repurpose everything from art to clothing - even the paper wrap and bags we use - all with the intention of providing the customer with quality merchandise at reasonable prices and being more than just your typical retail business.

Since opening in 2001, Once & Again has contributed to the Durham community by donating thousands of items to charitable organizations. Called our "Donate Partners" Once & Again has provided continual support to these community heroes;  Pennies for Change Thrift Store, The Durham Rescue Mission, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, and the Animal Protection Society of Durham. Understanding the ongoing need in our community, we are strengthening our mission to be more than a typical consignment store. Once & Again is constantly considering how our continued success can help the surrounding community. We hope that consignors will support Once & Again Consignment Gallery in our ongoing "giving back to the community" campaign. Each consignor can do this by opting to donate unsellable and unsold consigned items by simply selecting "donate" on their consignment contract (consignors receive the charitable receipt for tax purposes). Each Holiday Season, Once & Again hosts a Holiday open house. In addition to live music and Santa as our host, we sell ornaments with a purpose.  Our customers come for the festivities, including photos with Santa for both pets and people, a beloved tradition where we distribute as many dog bones

as candy canes. Sadly, COVID-19 derailed our tradition in 2020, but our gingerbread ornaments to support COVID relief sold out!

Since 2001, Once & Again has completed more than 11,500 contracts with consignors. In addition to individual consignors, we have dedicated pickers who consign with us routinely, as well as rental booths for those who wish to sell and display their curated collections. In an environment of multiple options for consignment and where consumers are bombarded by online shopping opportunities, we recognize that you have multiple sources for both consigning and shopping. Currently, we strive to maintain a clean and safe shopping experience. For consignment inquiries, please contact us directly.
